“Learning In Motion” at Bridgeport Intermediate School aims to enhance student learning and well-being by integrating physical activity into the library through the use of stationary pedals and bikes. By encouraging students to read while they ride, the project promotes improved focus, memory, and reading stamina, while also supporting healthy physical habits. Aligned with multiple TEKS objectives, this initiative supports academic growth, emotional wellness, and lifelong learning skills. The program will be sustained through structured implementation, staff involvement, and regular feedback to ensure long-term impact.

“Uniting Our School Community Through Mascot Signage” seeks to amplify the district’s rich history through the installation of eye-catching signage featuring the school mascot along the chain-link fence that borders the campus. The goal is to enhance school pride, Provide visual enhancement to the new fenceline, and build community engagement while fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility at BIS.

“Build the Band” will provide Power-Lite Drumline Equipment for Middle School Band students. This specific set of equipment is significantly lighter than High School Drumline Equipment and will enable BMS band members to perform at High School Band Night, Pep Rallies, performances at community events, and regional middle school drumline competitions.

”New Unit Set Pieces” will facilitate the acquisition of UIL unit set pieces for the Bridgeport High School Theater program. These versatile backdrops, props, and scenery elements serve not only the school's theatrical productions but also UIL events. By securing these resources, students will have access to professional-grade equipment that enriches the quality of performances and competitions alike, empowering students to excel in showcasing their talents and skills.

”Rebuilding Robotics” - $20,000
In partnership with BKV Energy

”Rebuilding Robotics”, funded by BKV Energy, aims to establish an innovative robotics program that will provide resources for procuring robotics kits, tools, and software necessary for students to design, build, and program robots. The program's goal is to foster student interest in STEM fields, particularly robotics and engineering, through hands-on learning experiences and participation in robotics competitions. BKV Energy's generous donation will empower students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills essential for success in the modern technological landscape.

”Reading with my Pal Memo” - $2,821

“Reading with my Pal Memo” is to increase our bilingual pre kindergarten students’ exposure to rich literature and to encourage family involvement in literacy by strengthening the home-school connection. By involving and engaging our Spanish-speaking families in this year-long literacy program, we hope to foster a positive attitude toward literacy and extend communication and language learning in the home. Our intention is to support the challenges of our Emergent Bilingual population and promote improving literacy skills.

“Building Better Buddies, One Book at a Time '' will address Guidance and Counseling objectives by providing our students with a common monthly read-aloud experience tied to positive leadership development. Read Aloud titles will be accompanied by mini lessons that highlight our character trait of the month while the teacher models thinking deeply about text tied to our curriculum standards.

Community members will help incorporate these bins and bundles by coming and speaking about their STEM careers. This connection will show the students a wide variety of careers that these bins and bundles explore.
